INSTALLATION
The switchboard can be table mounted or wall
fitted.
It can be combined with a video module 1732/1
when it is table mounted.
The electrical connections can be made with a 19
pole boss with the following terminals:
+V logical power positive input
0V logical power negative input
D data line
FA1 voice delivery channel 1
FB1 voice return channel 1
FA2 voice delivery channel 2
FB2 voice return channel 2
+F voice power positive input
0F voice power negative input
CV video bracket control output
SCM video relay control output – monitor riser
SCT video relay control output – camera riser
SL video relay control output – local
S12 video relay control output – lines 1/2
S1 video relay control output – line 1
S2 video relay control output – line 2
RPCH supplementary call ringer control output
RPAL supplementary alarm ringer control output
0V logic power negative input.
TABLE MOUNTING
The switchboard is arranged at the factory to be
table mounted. The stand (8) provides the correct
inclination.
Video module 1732/1 installation
The video module with bracket 1732/92 can be fitted
on the right or on the left of the switchboard. Two
brackets and four screws are provided to be fitted
in the specific housings (9). Apply the specific stand
(48) and the two feet (49) provided on the video
module bracket.
WALL FITTING
The switchboard is arranged at the factory to be
table mounted. To fit the switchboard on the wall:
1) Remove the table stand (7) and the two feet (13).
2) Remove the catch (12) from the switchboard
casing (1) with a small screwdriver.
3) Remove the switchboard casing (1) from plate
(14).
4) Open the handset part (6).
5) Fasten the base to the wall with the four bolts
provided using the holes (8).

ADAPTER CIRCUIT 1038/70 INSTALLATION
The PABX or telephone interface adapter circuit
must be installed inside the switchboard and a PABX
or telephone interface for connecting the telephone
is required to use the send to telephone function.
Install the circuit 1038/70 as follows (with the
switchboard off):
1) Remove the catch (12) from the switchboard
casing (1) with a small screwdriver.
2) Release the jumpers (50).
3) Insert the adapter circuit 1038/70 (53) in the con-
nectors (52) making sure the direction is correct
(the longest connector is closest to the jumpers).
4) Close the PABX or telephone interface to the
terminal board (51) passing the wires through
the hole (11).
5) Close and power the switchboard.
Note: The PABX or telephone interface connection
wires must be shorter than 3 metres long.
PC VERSION INSTALLATION
The switchboard can be controlled by a PC. In this case,
the PC keyboard and mouse are used instead of the
switchboard keyboard and the switchboard screens are
displayed in a window on the PC screen (WINDOWS
3.11 or 95 or 98). Proceed as follows to set up the
switchboard for this function (with the switchboard off):
1) Remove the catch (12) from the switchboard
casing (1) with a small screwdriver.
2) Cut the jumper (54).
3) Connect the serial port of the switchboard (16)
to a PC serial port (COM1-COM4) with a cros-
sed wire (55).
4) Close and power the switchboard.
Now the switchboard can only be controlled from
the PC with the specific PCVOICE program. The
PCVOICE program can be downloaded free of
charge from the
(http://www.urmetdomus.it).
Minimum requirements: 486 or higher, graphic reso-
lution 800x600 or 1024x768 pixels, Windows 3.11
or 95 or 98.
Note: The PC connection wire must be shorter than
3 metres long.
PRINTER INSTALLATION
The switchboard can printout system information on
a serial printer (see the "Using a printer" paragraph).
A Sideltronic 1033/72 printer is recommended.
Use a wire connected to (16) for connecting the
printer.
