5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person
using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that
the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Additional safety requirements for lawnmowers
 Read the operating instructions carefully. Make sure you are
familiar with the controls and correct use of the device.
 Never allow children to use the device.
 Never allow the appliance to be used by persons who are not
familiar with these instructions. Local regulations may impose
restrictions on the age of the user.
 Never operate the device when people, especially children, or
pets are around.
 The operator or user is responsible for accidents or dangers
that occur to other persons or their property.
 Always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers when
operating the unit. Do not operate the appliance barefoot or
with open sandals on.
 Thoroughly inspect the area where the unit will be used and
remove all stones, sticks, wires, bones and other foreign
objects.
 Before use, always visually check that the rotating parts and
the cutter deck are not worn or damaged. Replace worn or
damaged parts in sets.
 Only use the unit in daylight or in good artificial lighting. If
possible, avoid using the unit in wet grass. Always be sure of
your feet on slopes. Always walk, never run. Always work
across a slope, never up or down.
 Take extreme care when reversing or pulling the unit towards
you.
 Do not use the device on steep slopes.
 Stop the rotating parts if the unit has to be tipped for transport.
Do not use the cutter deck when driving over surfaces other
than grass and when transporting the machine to and from the
working area.
 Never operate the unit with defective guards or protective
covers, or without safety devices, such as guards and/or
catchers, fitted.
