unplug it immediately, before re-
trieving it. Keep the power cable
away from hot surfaces. Do not
switch on the device when there
is no water in the reservoir. Do not
use the humidifier if the reservoir
is damaged or cracked. Unplug
the power cord when the prod-
uct is not in use for a long peri-
od of time or when no one is at
home. An electrical device must
never be left plugged in and unat-
tended. Unplug it whenever you
are not using it. Do not connect
or disconnect the power plug of
the device with wet hands. Do not
put items of clothing or towels
on top of the device. If the noz-
zle is obstructed, this may cause
the device to malfunction. Avoid
placing the humidifier in a place
where the diffuser sprinkler tip di-
rects the vapour directly to a per-
son or object. Do not use the hu-
midifier if the room air is already
humid enough (at least 50% rel-
ative humidity). The ideal relative
humidity level for human comfort
is between 45% and 55%. Excess
moisture manifests as condensa-
tion on cold surfaces or cold walls
in the room. To correctly deter-
mine the level of humidity in the

room, use a hygrometer availa-
ble in most specialty stores and in
superstores. Pay attention to the
fact that high levels of humidity
can encourage the growth of bi-
ological organisms in nature. Do
not carry this device by its power
cable and do not use the cable
as a handle. When moving the
device, lift it up by the base and
not by the water reservoir. Always
place the humidifier on a hard, flat,
horizontal surface. Keep it away
from walls and heat sources such
as stoves, radiators, etc. Caution:
If it is not placed on a horizontal
surface, the device may not work
properly. Do not leave the device
exposed to direct sunlight. Fill the
reservoir with clean, fresh, dis-
tilled or demineralised water. Do
not shake the device. This could
cause the water to overflow into
the base unit and affect its opera-
tion. Never touch water and com-
ponents while the unit is running.
Do not remove the reservoir while
the humidifier is running. Do not
drink water directly from the res-
ervoir or inhale the vapour emit-
ted by the humidifier. If an ab-
