etectIon of a Broken Belt
Attach the sensor (Balluff BM 235K-PS-C-2A-PU) so that
it switches when the cylinder is extended. If the sensor
is activated, there is no belt on the partly completed ma-
chinery or it is broken and must be replaced.
Dismount the dust cover so that the magnetic field sensor
(Balluff BMF 235K-PS-C-2A-PU-02) can be positioned.
Sensor is supposed to switch to High, if no belt has been
clamped or if the belt is broken and needs to be replaced.
Function sensor signal:
– Low = belt clamped or cylinder retracted
- High = no belt or belt broken
Sensor cable length 2m, end of cable open. Operational
voltage 10-30Vdc, Nominal operational current ≤200mA,
PNP, (NO)
Wiring:
– brown = voltage supply
– blue = GND
– black = sensor signal

In order to access motor controls, you will need a control-
ler kit or a SUHNER Power Hub with regulator.

Too great a pressure reduces partly completed
machinery efficiency and the grinding belt's use-
ful life.

4.1 p
reVentIVe MaIntenance
As soon as maintenance or repair work
starts, disconnect the partly completed
machinery from the power supply, and se-
cure it against accidental reactivation.
The partly completed machinery is fitted with lifetime lu-
bricated bearings and is maintenance free.

Check the belt drive for damage every 400 operating
hours.

In the event of malfunctions, contact an authorised SUH-
NER aftersales service centre.
4.3 r
If despite strict observance of the manufacturing and test-
ing method the partly completed machinery should hap-
pen to fail, it must be repaired by an authorized SUHNER
agency.
In all orders to the manufacturer please indicate the com-
ponent serial number.
4.4 w
In the event of the tool being improperly handled, used
for purposes for which it is not intended and/or of the ser-
vice and maintenance instructions not being observed by
non-authorized persons, no warranty shall be in effect for
damages/consequential damages. Complaints can only
be honored if the partly completed machinery is returned
in the undisassembled condition.

Temperature range: 20°C to +50°C
Max. relative air humidity: 90% at +30°C, 65% at +50°C

This partly completed machinery consists of materials
which can be disposed of in a recycling process.
Before disposal, render the partly completed machinery
