Do not use or charge the battery if it shows any sign of damage. If
you have any doubt regarding its safety, contact an authorized Valeo
dealer.
CHARGING THE BA TTERY
A Valeo e-bike battery must only be charged using an original Valeo
e-bike charger.
To charge the battery, read and follow the instructions in the
Valeo e-bike Charger user manual.
The battery can be charged regardless of its state of charge. Stopping
the charging process does not damage the battery or reduce its
lifetime.
The battery has a temperature monitoring function which only allows
it to be charged within a temperature range of 0 °C to +45°C. Outside
this range the battery will not charge and may display an error code
on its LED display.
Battery charge indicator
The 4 LEDs on the battery indicate the state of charge of the battery
when the battery is switched On.
Each LED represents 25% of the charging capacity. When 4 LEDs are lit
up, the battery is fully charged.

No LED Battery is fully discharged or not functional
The battery state of charge is also shown on the screen of the Valeo
Cyclee ™ system display when the battery is installed onto the e-bike
and is switched On. Read the instructions of your display before using
your bike for the first time.
When the battery state of charge is low the assistance will be
progressively reduced to preserve the gear shifting and the lighting
power.
When the battery charge is complete, disconnect the charger from
the battery and the electrical outlet.
INSERTING AND REMOVING THE BA TTERY
Always switch off the battery and the e-bike system when
installing the battery into the docks or removing it from the
docks.
Ensure the battery is placed on clean surfaces only. Avoid getting dirt,
sand or soil, in the connectors area in particular.
Internal Downtube batteries: Ultra i500 and Ultra i630
To install the internal battery into the docks, the key must be inserted
into the lock and the lock must be open.
1. Place the battery on the connector dock
2. Push the battery so it's in contact with the connector dock
