To remove the external downtube battery.
1. Insert the key and place your hand on the top the battery
2. Turn the key, lift the battery from the locking dock
3. Remove the battery from the connector dock
4. You may remove the key
External Rack battery: Ultra r1240
To install the external rack battery into the docks, the key must be
inserted into the lock and the lock must be open.
1. Slide the battery onto the rail until the battery is in contact with
the dock
2. Hold the lock open with the key and push the battery into place.
Check that the battery is secure in all directions.
3. Secure the battery by closing the lock and removing the key.

To remove the external rack battery:
1. Insert the key and place your hand in the handle of the battery
2. Turn the key, pull gently the battery from the dock
3. Slide the battery out of the rail
4. You may remove the key
OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS
SWITCHING ON
To switch the battery On press the On/Off button on the battery casing.
The LED indicators will light up when the battery is on, showing the
battery state of charge at the same time.
When the battery is installed and secured in the bike, switching the
battery on will start the e-bike system. Please read the instructions of
the motor user and rider interface user manuals.
SWITCHING OFF
To switch Off the battery press the On/Off button on the battery casing.
The LEDs indicators will go out.
If no power is drawn from the battery for some time, the battery will
switch off on its own. If installed in the e-bike system, the whole system
will turn off.
The battery is protected against some events like deep discharge,
overloading, overheating, short circuit, such an event occuring may
cause the battery to switch off on its own.
RECOMMENDATION FOR OPTIMAL HANDLING
OF THE BA TTERY
Good storage conditions and care can improve battery life. However
as it is aging the capacity of the battery will be reduced.
Losing range out of the battery, means that the battery has deteriorated.
You can replace the battery for a Valeo Cyclee ™ battery.
