RECHARGE AND STORAGE
When not using the battery for a period larger than three months,
store it at a state of charge between 25% and 50% (2 LEDs lit up).
Check the state of charge after 6 months, if the battery state of charge
is lower than 25% (one LED lit up) charge the battery back up to 50% (2
LEDs lit up).
If the battery is stored for a long period of time with no charge, it may
become damaged and the battery capacity may be reduced.
Leaving the battery permanently connected to the charger is not
recommended.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store the battery in a dry and well ventilated area, ideally in a room
equipped with a smoke detector. Protect it against moisture and
water. Keep away from combustibles or flammable objects and any
heat sources.
Store the battery at a temperature between -20°C and 25°C. Never
store the battery at a temperature lower than -20°C. Storage above
25°C but below 45°C can occur occasionally but not for more than 3
months.
Avoid leaving the bike with the battery exposed to direct sunlight as
much as possible. Do not leave the battery in a confined space (car,
storage box) under hot conditions and store it away from direct
sunlight.
Leaving the battery on the bike for storage is not recommended.
HANDLE A FAUL TY BATTERY
The Valeo e-bike battery must not be opened, even for repairs.
If you have a faulty battery, do not have it repaired. Have it replaced
with an original Valeo battery, by your authorized retailer.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
CLEANING
The battery must not be submerged in water or cleaned using a flow
of water. Clean the battery with a soft damp cloth, slightly wet. Clean
the connector pins occasionally with a soft and dry cloth.

CHECK UP
Have your Valeo equipped e-bike checked by an authorized Valeo
dealer at least once a year. Your Valeo dealer will inspect mechanical
parts but also verify that the system software is up to date.
Have all repairs and specific maintenance done by an authorized
Valeo Cyclee e-bike dealer.

TRANSPORT OF THE BA TTERY
To avoid any damages you should remove the battery from your
e-bike when you transport it attached to the back of your vehicle.
The batteries are subject to legislation on the transport of dangerous
goods. Private users can transport undamaged batteries by road
without having to comply with additional requirements.
When batteries are transported by commercial users or third parties,
special requirements on packaging and labeling (ADR regulations)
must be met.
Do not ship batteries if the housing is damaged or it is not fully
functional. Use only the original Valeo packaging for transport. Apply
tape over exposed connectors and pack the battery such that it
cannot move inside the packaging. Inform your parcel service that the
