Vox delay
This function can only be selected from the software and allows you
to set the activation time of the vox.
It can be immediate or delayed by several seconds from 0.5 to 3
seconds.
Scan
Attention the channel scan will only take place in the channels pro-
grammed on your radio. So if you are looking for transmissions out-
side your frequencies they will not be intercepted.
The same goes for channels with additional CTCSS / DCS tones
Press and hold the PF1 or PF2 button (according to your program-
ming) to access the SCAN mode, the scan will start automatically and
the status LED will start flashing green.
Whenever a signal is detected, scanning stops on the found channel
for 5 seconds.
During this time, a communication can be sent on the intercepted
channel by pressing the PTT key.
After 5 seconds the scan will resume.
To enable the scan function, you need to use the software and the
"TechSide TSCABLE" programming cable
Monitor
It may happen that the radio fails to set the squelch
(Automatic in this model) in order to receive the signal
because below the minimum settable level.
In this case it is better to completely eliminate the squelch by activat-
ing the Monitor function
Press and hold the PF1 or PF2 button (according to your program-
ming) to access the Monitor mode until the conditions improve,
continue the connection with the background noise present; you will
be sure to be at maximum sensitivity
possible by the apparatus
To enable this function, it is necessary to use the software and the
"TechSide TSCABLE" programming cable
LED flashlight (PF2)
With the TS-T1 powered on, short press LAMP Button to turn on / off
the flashlight at the top of the radio.
Squelch
The Squelch eliminates the background noise of the channel in use
and allows you to receive signals of very low intensity.
TS-T1 has 10 (0 ~ 9) levels of Squelch available: level 0 keeps the
Squelch open permanently, levels 1 to 9 have decreasing Squelch
sensitivity (from most sensitive to least sensitive). The Squelch is
set by default to level 5; it is possible to set another level of Squelch
through programming software. Be careful not to set the Squelch
level too high: you may not receive weak signals. On the other hand,
