Vox button (PF1)
The VOX function allows hands-free conversations without using PTT:
just speak in the direction of the microphone and the communication
will be automatically activated.
ACTIVATE VOX:
Press and hold the PF1 button for 2 seconds to access the Vox mode
ATTENTION: When you press the button for 2 seconds, the radio
DIRA '"1-ONE" which indicates the 1st VOX sensitivity level.
Example. If we are positioned on channel "12" after pressing the PF1
key for 2 seconds the radio will repeat "1- One" and not 12 or 13
because we have entered the Vox mode.
To make sure that the vox is active, just speak in the direction of
the microphone without pressing the PTT button, the red LED indi-
cator will light up.
VOX SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT:
The VOX sensitivity can be adjusted on 9 different levels (1 ... 9) by
pressing the PF1 button.
Immediately after activating VOX, the sensitivity is set to
"Level 1". This indicates that it is the least sensitive and therefore
needs a higher tone of voice (+ Decibel) to activate the transmission.
To adjust to the next level we simply have to press the PF1 button for
2 seconds.
The item will indicate the level set as shown in this table:

9° Level Nine
In this way the voice will help us understand at what level of vox sen-
sitivity we are positioned.
DISABLE VOX:
Press the PF1 button for 2 seconds and after Level 9 the radio will
emit a "Beep" to indicate that the vox has been deactivated.
