9. Operation, Service & Maintenance
Operators of electrical plants in Ex-areas are responsible for correct usage of operation
resources, correct operation & maintenance, for supervision and to execute maintenance
work if necessary, according to IEC/EN 60079-17.
Only authorised, trained staff are allowed to do maintenance work on Ex-certified products.
Before starting any maintenance work the manufacturer's safety instructions must be
observed at all times. Only original spare parts from the manufacturer are allowed to be
used!
Regular inspection of all installed products must be carried out.
(Please also note document IEC/EN 60079-17).
Damaged heating devices must be replaced immediately.
Please check before commissioning:
- Device is properly installed?
- Device is not damaged?
- Earthing made correctly and intact?
- Connection cable installed and wired correctly?
- Function OK?
