8. The Adjustment Switch

"Telephone" adjustment switch: For adjusting the connection assignment of the telephone receiver
jack For adjusting the headset connection assignment

9. The "ON/Auto" Switch

In most cases, the AUTO position is recommended. The headset switch is automatically switched
on, when the telephone is on or the receiver is lifted.
The red LED in the MUTE key lights up or blinks for verification.
In rare cases, your telephone may only function with the headset switch in the ON position.

10. The MUTE Button

You can deactivate the microphone with the MUTE button. The LED flashes for verification. The
microphone of the normal telephone receiver is unaffected.

11. Connecting a Power Pack

Please ONLY connect using power packs approved by Hama!
Please observe that due to different systems, minimal electrical noise may occur when operating
with a power pack. Use batteries in such cases. The headset switch is extremely energy-saving.
Please observe the correct polarity and voltage setting on the power pack!

12. General Notes

The headset switch complies with R&TTE Directives and is CE-certified. A warranty is provided as
required by law. The headset switch must not be opened, modified or damaged by mechanical
means. The headset switch may only be used for the purpose described here.

13. Troubleshooting

Problem: I cannot hear anything in the telephone receiver
Solution: Check the settings and that the cable is routed correctly. Is the switch on the top
switched to "telephone receiver"?
Problem: I cannot hear anything in the headphone/headset
Solution: Check the settings and that the cable is routed correctly. Is the switch on the top
switched to "Headset"?
Is the red LED illuminated? Check the batteries.
Was the adjustment switch accidentally adjusted incorrectly?
Problem: The person on the phone can only slightly hear me or my voice is distorted
Solution: The MIC may be polarized incorrectly. Push the "Headset" POL A/B adjustment
switch to the other position.
