Explanation of the Symbols and Signal Words
Danger symbol: This symbol indicates dangers of
injury. Read through the associated safety notices
carefully and abide by them.
Suitable for use with food.
Warns of possible serious injuries and danger to

life.
CAUTION
Warns of slight to moderate injuries.
NOTICE
Warns of material damage.
Intended Use
•
This product is intended for chopping up food. It is not suitable
for frozen food.
•
The product is not suitable for chopping up very hard food (e.g.
nutmegs, coffee beans).
•
The product is not a meat grinder! It is not suitable for chopping
up meat and fi sh.
•
The product is designed for personal use only and is not in-
tended for commercial applications.
•
The product should only be used as described in the operating
instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
Safety Notices
■
WARNING – Danger of suffocation! Keep children and ani-
mals away from the packaging material.
■
CAUTION – Danger of cutting! The blades of the cutting in-
serts are sharp! Be careful when removing and inserting them.
Only ever touch the plastic parts.
■
CAUTION – Danger of cutting! Do not reach into the fi lling
shaft. Only ever use the plunger to feed in food.
■
Keep hair, jewellery or clothing away from the crank handle.
■
The product should only be used and stored out of the reach of
children and animals. Incorrect use may lead to injuries.
■
Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not
play with the product.

The product should only be used if it has been fully and cor-
rectly assembled.

Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning
pads for cleaning. These may damage the surfaces.

Protect the product from heat sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero
temperatures, persistent moisture, direct sunlight and impacts.
■
Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order
to guarantee that there is no interference that may prevent the
product from working and to avoid possible damage.

Before Initial Use
•
Before using the product, remove all packaging materials and
any labels that may be on the product and are used for protec-
tion during transportation or for advertising.
•
There may still be some production residues on the product.
To avoid harmful effects to your health, clean the product thor-
oughly before you fi rst use it (see the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter).

Check the items supplied for completeness and transport dam-
age. If the product is damaged, do not use it (!), but contact our
customer service department.
Use
1. Place the base on a fl at, solid, dry and non-greasy surface and
turn the lever to the LOCK position to fi x the suction pad.
2. Insert the cutting insert you want into the frame.
3. Insert the crank handle into the cutting insert on the other side
of the frame and press it fi rmly. The catch engages audibly
and connects the cutting insert and the crank handle to one
another.
4. Remove any stalks, peels or cores etc. from the food. More
solid fruit / vegetables should be cut in half or into quarters.
5. Place a suitable collecting container in front of the product.
6. Place the food which is to be chopped up into the fi lling shaft.
7. Turn the crank handle clockwise and then press the food down
using the plunger.
Cleaning and Storage
•
Take the product apart before cleaning it:
– Turn the lever for releasing the suction pad to the RELEASE
position.
– Press the release button on the crank handle and pull it off.
– Remove the cutting insert from the frame.
– Press down the release button for the frame and pull the
frame out forwards.
•
Remove any remaining food from the product.
•
Clean all parts with warm water and mild detergent, then dry
them thoroughly and put them back together again.
•
Store the product and all accessories in a dry place which is
protected from sunlight and is not accessible to children and
animals.
Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner so that it can be recycled. If the product is no
longer going to be used, dispose of it in an environmentally
friendly manner as well.
