NOTICE
The green LED is flashing fast now. This indicates that macsRemote tries to establish a connection to the
selected Wi-Fi network.
If the green function LED flashes faster, macsRemote is connected to a Wi-Fi network and searches for a
connection to the HGS server.
5. If the green function LED is permanently on, macsRemote is connected to the HGS server and ready for operation.
6. After having connected the macsRemote with the vehicle, use the browser of the PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone to
call up https://macsremote.obd.help and enter the registration data.
7. Select the requested service in the menu and do the subsequent steps.
7.1.1. Connecting the macsRemote with New Wi-Fi Network
Proceed as follows to connect the macsRemote to a new Wi-Fi network:
1. Connect the VCI (macsRemote) with the vehicle.
2. Push the reset button for approx. 2 seconds with a sharp object (e.g. paperclip).
3. The orange function LED lights up permanently while the green function LED flashes slowly.
Now the macsRemote can be connected with the new Wi-Fi network.
4. Establish a connection to a new network.
7.1.2. Connecting macsRemote via LAN Connection
Proceed as follows to connect the macsRemote via LAN connection:
1. Make sure that the VCI cable is connected to macsRemote.
Possibly use a 10-Torx screwdriver (not included in the delivery contents) for that.
2. Connect the VCI plug of macsRemote with the vehicle's diagnostic connector and proceed as follows:
CAUTION!
Short circuit and voltage peaks when connecting the VCI
Danger of destruction of automotive electronics
Switch off ignition before connecting the VCI to the vehicle.
NOTICE
Switch on the vehicle ignition after having connected the VCI to the vehicle. Communication is impossible
without ignition switched on.
