4 Working with the UV-Curing Materials
4.1 Specific storage regulations
The materials are to be stored in a cool and dry place (at
a maximum room temperature of 23 °C / 73.4 °F). Please
mind that the containers are closed at any time, when not
in use and close them immediately after use. Otherwise,
there might be danger of an unintentional chemical re-
action due to the action of light (curing of the material).
The expiry date, when stored adequately, is indicated on
the product.
TIP: Already opened packages of lacquers or instant ad-
hesives are recommended to be kept in the refrigerator.
4.2 Specific processing notes
Please avoid direct skin contact with the materials. Befo-
re using them, protect your hands by wearing gloves or
using special skin protection products.
The material is to be used by authorized and trained staff
only. Processing of the lacquers should be done beneath
an absorbing device (e.g. egger S/AB Timer REF 61400).
Always use the lacquering brushes for one type of lac-
quer only. Please adhere to the operation instructions.
Details on the disposal can be taken from our safety data
sheets that can be downloaded as PDF file from our web-
site: www.egger-labor.com.
4.3 Polymerization of LP materials
• After filling the negative mold with LP material,
which you can use duplicating gel (REF 40900ff) or
transparent duplicating silicone for(REF 41000ff),
please put the negative form onto the workbench of
the unit. Please adhere to the particular processing
instructions for manufacturing ITE molds.

• Please close the unit with the light protection cover.
• Set the required polymerization time at the timer
(see processing instructions for the particular LP
materials).
• By pressing the "START/STOP" button, the polymeri-
zation will be started.
• As soon as the polymerization is finished, a blip will
resound. The unit will switch off automatically.
• Please remove the light protection cover and take
the negative mold from the workbench for further
processing.
4.4 Post-curing with LP cleaner
The next step is post-curing. This is necessary to remove
the inhibition layer (sticky surface).
• Place the rectangular container filled with LP cleaner
(REF 31300ff) onto the workbench of the unit.
• Insert the earmold into the filled rectangular container.
• Please take care that the earmolds do not get in
contact with each other.
• Close the unit with the light protection cover.
• Set the required polymerization time at the timer
(see processing instructions for the particular LP
materials).
• By pressing the "START/STOP" button, the polymeri-
zation will be started.
• As soon as the polymerization is finished, a blip will
resound. The unit will switch off automatically.
• Remove the light protection cover. Now, the earmolds
can be taken out (bent in its form) of the rectangular
container by means of tweezers (REF 26300).
• Then, the earmolds are rinsed under water and blow
dried with compressed air.
