3.5 Starting-up and operation of the light-curing unit egger EL 4
All operating and control elements are fixed on top of the unit.
The mains switch (power) is used to switch the unit on and off. On longer operating breaks
the device should be switched off.
The transition button "2 min"/"4 min" is used to preselect the polymerization times. The light
tubes automatically switch themselves off after termination of the elected polymerization
time.
The start button switches on the UV light tubes and the fan. With the stop button the light
tubes can be switched off at any time.
The unit is designed for the operation with UVA light tubes. The light tubes are already
mounted.

Working with the UV-curing materials
4.1 Specific storage regulations
The materials are to be stored in a cool and dry place (at a maximum room temperature of
23° C = 73.4° F). Please mind that the containers are closed at any time, when not in use and
close immediately after use. Otherwise, there might be the danger of an unintentionally
chemical reaction by action of light (curing of the material). The expiry date, when stored
adequately, is indicated on the product.
Tip: Already opened packages of lacquers or instant adhesives are recommended to be
kept in the refrigerator.
4.2 Specific processing notes
Please avoid direct skin contact with the materials. Before using them protect your hands by
wearing gloves or using special skin protection products.
The material is to be used by authorized and trained staff only. Processing of the lacquers
should be done beneath an absorbing device (e.g. egger S/AB Timer REF 61400). Use the
lacquering brushes always for one type of lacquer only. Please adhere to the operation
instructions.

For the processing, we recommend the additional accessories the egger lacquering holder
kit REF 51207, consisting of a magnetic lacquering holder, Erkogum (REF 30911) and nylon
tube (REF 97200).
