General

The proven egger light unit EL 4 for the universal use in the otoplastic laboratory. It was espe-
cially developed to polymerize UV-curing resins, lacquers and modeling pastes for lacquering
(vitrification), modification or for repairs.
The size of the polymerization chamber is so designed that up to 25 earmolds and/or ITE shells
in one work step only can be processed.
The egger EL 4 is exclusively equipped with UVA light tubes to achieve an extra high emission
maximum for the polymerization surface. Due to the number and order of the six UVA light
tubes a high efficiency level is reached. A specific fan avoids the light chamber to overheat.
NEW: the current polymerization times of two and four minutes are preset. For this reason the
manual control of the polymerization times is omitted and the manufacturing processes are
getting more comfortable. The transition button "2 min"/"4 min" is used to preselect the po-
lymerization times. The light tubes automatically switch themselves off after termination of the
elected polymerization time.
The light-curing unit egger EL 4 was especially developed for the beyond described applica-
tions and is characterized by

LP/H Modeling pastes
• Repairs of BTE and ITE earmolds made of UV-polymerizates or other hard acrylates
• Minimizing or closing of ventings
• Additional fixing of supports or of a bulb seal
• Modifications on ventings with ITE earmolds
Lacquers
• Applying of antibacterial coatings with LP/H lacquer antibac
• Subsequent lacquering ("vitrification") of polished otoplastics as preventive measures
against skin irritation
• Partial filling to improve the sealing of earmolds
• Adhesive coating ("non-skid coating") by LP/W lacquer to improve the fitting of the
earmold
• Usable for all UV-polymerizates and hard acrylates
