2. Installation
General
The pump units of the KFA and KFAS series are
designed for use in centralized lubrication systems
of vehicles, machines and plants. They are capable
of delivering greases up to NLGI grade 2.
The pump units differ in the way they can be
electrically connected as well as in the control and
monitoring of functions. If application specific pump
elements are installed, up to two separate
lubrication circuits can be operated with one unit
(see section 2.3).
Units of the KFA and KFAS series may
be operated exclusively in systems
provided with a pressure relief valve !
If this requirement is not observed,
overpressure may cause serious personal injury
and damage to property.
Mount the KFA and KFAS pump units to the vehicle
or machine with the 3 supplied M8 bolts, washers
and self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque: 16 Nm.
The unit should be mounted at a position which is
protected to the greatest possible extent. Where
holes have to be drilled for installation, position
these holes as shown below. A drilling template is
available under order number 951-130-148.

Bolts, washers and self-locking nuts for fastening
the unit are part of the scope of supply. 3 M8 each,
tightening torque 16 Nm
