If the ignition system is faulty, the "START
TEST" light does not light up, no matter
how charged the battery is.
CAUTION!
TRY SWITCHING ON FOR NO MORE
THAN 2-3 SECONDS, OTHERWISE THE
CATALYSER CAN BECOME DAMAGED!
RECHARGE SYSTEM TEST
This test measures the output voltage of the
alternator.
- Connect the red crocodile clip (+) to the
positive pole of the battery, and then the
black crocodile clip (-) to the negative pole
(Fig. B).
- Switch on the engine, taking it to approx.
1500 rpm.
- Disconnect all the electric loads of the
vehicle, e.g. switch off the lights, remove all
the connected accessories, close the doors
and the boot.
- Check
the
warning
"ALTERNATOR TEST" area of the instrument
(Fig. E).
- Now switch on all the lights (full headlights,
courtesy light, etc.) and all the accessories
at maximum level (air conditioning, radio,
etc.).
THE LIGHT THAT IS ON SHOULD NOT
CHANGE.
- GREEN LIGHT: OK.
- RED
LIGHT:
MALFUNCTION
The red warning light indicates that
the recharge system is not operating
correctly.
This
be caused by: incorrect connection
of the instrument clips, loose belt,
vehicle voltage regulator malfunction,
faulty alternator, loose or corroded
connections.

esplosivi, evitate che si formino fiamme e
scintille. NON FUMARE.
- Prima di eseguire il test posizionare le
batterie in un luogo areato.

- Per non danneggiare l'elettronica dei
veicoli, leggere, conservare, rispettare
scrupolosamente le avvertenze fornite dai
costruttori dei veicoli stessi; lo stesso vale
per le indicazioni fornite dal costruttore di
batterie.
- Tenere lontano dalla portata dei bambini.
- Proteggere gli occhi. Indossare sempre
occhiali protettivi quando si lavora con
accumulatori al piombo acido.
- Evitare il contatto con l'acido della
batteria. Nel caso si venga schizzati o si
venga a contatto con l'acido, risciacquare
immediatamente la parte interessata con
acqua pulita. Continuare a risciacquare
fino all'arrivo del medico.
- È importante collegare i cavi alle corrette
polarità. Collegare la pinza rossa (+) al
morsetto positivo della batteria, e la pinza
nera (-) alla massa negativa.
- Usare questo dispositivo in aree ben
ventilate.
- Impedire alle pinze nere e rosse di venire
in contatto quando sono collegate alla
batteria in quanto questo può provocare
