Savety instructions
This device is to be installed only by a professional
electrician fitter according to local applicable
installation standards.
Do not plug in or unplug this product when it is live.
Its use is only permitted within the limits shown and
stated in the installation instructions. The device and
the equipement connected to can be destroyed by
loads exceeding the values stated.
Operating principle
This kilowatt hour meter measures the active
electrical energy used in an electrical installation.
This device has a digital LCD to display energy
used and power.
The design and manufacture of this meter comply
with Standard IEC 62053-21 requirements.

M-BUS Communication
M-BUS MEDIA
In a standard configuration, an M-BUS connection
can be used to link up to 250* products with a PC
or PLC, over a range of 1000 metres**.
* depending on the M-BUS master
** depending on the number of products and the
communication speed.
Recommendations: the use of a JYSTY Nx2x0.8
mm
(0.5
mm²)
unshielded
recommended.
If the range of 1000 m and/or the limit of 250
products are exceeded, a repeater will need to be
connected.
-> f the 250 limit is exceeded: only use the
secondary address.
M-BUS protocol
The M-BUS protocol operates using a master/
slave structure.
EC368 (slave) units are compatible with both
primary and secondary addressing modes.
Primary addressing can
be configured via the
product interface.

M-BUS communication
M-BUS EC368 units also have the «Wildcard
addressing» function which allows products to be
searched for on the M-BUS network.
Option to broadcast to addresses 254 and 255.
In addition, M-BUS product units are
OMScompatible (Open Metering Systems).

To reset the partial meter
- Press the scrolling key several times in order to
display partial energy.
- Press the reset button during 3 sec.
The partial meter will be set to zero.
ERROR message: in case of bad wiring, an
«ERROR» message will be displayed.
- Check for each phase that current direction is in
line with wiring diagram.
- Check that the phase order L1, L2, L3 is in line
with the wiring diagram.
Note: the information
on the display indicates
that the corresponding phase (1, 2,3) is under
voltage.
Connection test and error displaying
The energymeter must be under voltage and the
measured circuit must be loaded.
Press the «reading» key during 3s to enter into the
connection test mode.
• Err 0 = no error
• Err 1 = inverted connection of phase 1 (L1 <=> L1')
• Err 2 = inverted connection of phase 2 (L2 <=> L2')
• Err 3 = inverted connection of phase 3 (L3 <=> L3')
• Err 7 = voltage inversion between V1 and Neutral
• Err 8 = voltage inversion between V2 and Neutral
• Err 9 = voltage inversion between V3 and Neutral
Press the «reading» key during 3s to leave the
connection test mode.

MANUAL Mode
This mode allows all the M-BUS communication
parameters to be configured manually: Primary
address, Speed.
AUTO Mode
This mode allows the communication speed to be
configured automatically.
Only the devices primary address needs to be
entered.
Using the secondary address: if this function is
used, only the speed needs to be configured (the
secondary address is fixed and unique, and is
