5. Adjusting and maintenance
5.1 Hot gas bypass valve adjustment
At partial load, the valve directly returns a part of the hot gas to the suction line of the
refrigerating compressor. The evaporation temperature and the evaporation pressure remain
constant. The hot gas by-pass valve is adjusted during the manufacturing testing phase. As
a rule no adjustment is required. Anyway if it is necessary, the adjustment must be carried
out by an experienced refrigerating engineer. Without compressed air flow through the dryer,
rotate the adjusting screw (position A on the drawing) until the following value is reached:

Hot gas bypass valve setting:
R513a - 2,2 bar (+0,1/-0)
R404a - 5,4 bar (+0,1/-0)
5.2 Cleaning condenser
The inner cavities of the dryer and condenser should be cleaned once a week. The condenser
(20) situated on the left inside the dryers RDX04-18, on rear side dryers RDX24-180, should
be cleaned by blowdown with compressed air. The stream of compressed air should be
directed in the opposite direction to the usual air flow and the angle between the air stream
and the plane of the condenser must be approximately 90 degrees.
