Basic safety precautions must be observed when using electrical devices. To avoid the
danger of burns, electric shocks, fires and/or personal injury, please carefully read
through this instruction manual before using the device for the first time and observe
all instructions when using the device.
Please keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference.
When this device is passed on to another person, please also supply this instruction
manual with the device.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Only connect the device to a plug that has been installed in accordance with regulations. Do not
use any desk socket or extension cable.
• The voltage specified on the nameplate of the device must correspond to that of your mains
supply.
• When using the device, be careful to ensure the power cord does not become a trip hazard.
• Keep the device, power cord and plug well away from hot surfaces and naked flames, and direct
sunlight as well as sharp edges. Ensure the power cord does not get jammed during operation
(e.g. in doors).
• Never immerse the device, power cord and mains plug in water or other liquids. There is a risk of
fatal electric shock!
• Never touch the device, power cord and mains plug with moist or wet hands or when standing on
a damp surface.
• If the device appears damp or wet, immediately unplug from the mains.
• Keep the device, power cord and plug away from water and moisture, e.g. like washbasins,
shower rooms, bathtubs or people bathing. There is a risk of fatal electric shock!
• For additional protection, we recommend that a residual current operated protective device
(RCD) with a nominal tripping current of no more than 30 mA be installed in the bathroom electric
circuit. Please request the services of a qualified electrician.
• If the device is used in damp locations, always unplug from the mains after each use.
• When you pull out the plug, always grip the plug and never the cable. Also do not carry the
device using the cable.
• Only use the device for the intended purpose of use, as specified in these instructions. Do not use
the device to dry or style animal hair, artificial hair or other materials!
• When using accessories, only use the original items supplied with the device.
• Do not leave the device unsupervised during use or while it is plugged into the mains.
• Never place the device onto non heat-resistant surfaces, e.g. such as carpeted floors, towels,
upholstery or other similar surfaces.
• Please remember that highly heated air is blown through the device during operation. Avoid all
unsupervised contact. Risk of burns!
