VI. USE
•Wash your hands thoroughly and make sure your breasts are clean. Express some milk to check that your milk ducts are
not blocked. The pump must be sterile and assembled.
•Sit down and relax in a comfortable chair, leaning forward slightly (Use a soft and comfortable pillow as a backrest).
1. USAGE MODE OF THE PUMP - FIGURE UM: Put the pump on your breast. The silicone breast (nipple) shield should be
firmly fitted against the breast, and the nipple should be centrally directed towards the breast pump opening. Keep the
pump upright. Be careful not to move the pump because the lost of good contact with the breast will cause bad vacuum.
Put your bra back over the pumping mechanism. Figure 4 shows the correct and incorrect positions to stand in while using
the pump.

•FIGURE 2: Press the on/off/mode button (M) to select one of the four functions of the pump:

of the pumping mechanism (Figure 5) and pull down the milk container. Transfer the breast milk into a feeding bottle.
5. Tips:
•If there is no result during pumping, do not continue! Try using the pump at another time of the day.
•On average, you have to pump for 8 minutes to drain 120 ml of milk. Keep in mind that the amount of milk varies from
woman to woman.
•Do not overfill the milk bottle to prevent milk from leaking out of the bottle.
VII. WHEN TO USE YOUR BREAST PUMP
1. If it is possible. There should be a period of breastmilk secretion and breastfeeding before each use of the pump.
2. The electric pump is an apparatus, which helps postpartum women to ease the pain and to extend the breastfeeding
time. It uses the premise that there is sufficient milk and smooth mammary gland. For some women, which are mothers
for the first time, the mammary gland usually is not smooth enough. A reason sometimes can be the congenital nipple
inversion or milk water shortage. So, we suggest you before purchasing and using the pump, to consult with a doctor who
could confirm that your mammary gland is smooth and that the breast milk is in normal condition. Do not buy and use the
pump only as a device to unblock your milk ducts.
VIII. HINTS
It takes practice in order to use the breast pump the best possible way. So it will take you at least several attempts before
starting successfully to use the electric breast pump.
1. Choose a quiet time to use the pump – time, when no one will disturb you.
2. Sit in a comfortable chair, in a perpendicular position to the ground. Please, put a comfortable cushion behind your
back before you start using the breast pump. Take a glass of water and place it near you, because you may feel thirsty
during the pumping process.
3. Place a warm cloth on your breasts for a few minutes before starting to express the milk as this may facilitate the
process and relieve the tension in the breasts.
4. Warmth and relaxation can help for the easier pumping of the breast milk, so before using the pump, you might like to
take a bath or a shower.
5. Try expressing from one breast while your baby is feeding from the other, or continue expressing just after the feed.
IX. HOW TO STORE THE BREAST MILK
1.Only breast milk that has been collected using a sterile breast pump can be stored to feed your baby.
2.The milk can be stored in a thermos at 40 ° C, so you can feed your baby every 4 hours.
3.If you store freshly expressed milk, seal the milk. The milk can be stored for 10 hours at room temperature at 19 - 25 ° C.
4.The expressed milk can be stored in a refrigerator for a maximum of 48 hours (but not on the refrigerator door) or in a
freezer for a maximum of 3 months.
5.Frozen milk must first be left in the refrigerator to thaw naturally. If you need it urgently, put it in a bowl of warm water
and thaw it. After thawing, the milk can be stored in the refrigerator for 24 hours. NEVER FREEZE MILK AGAIN.
