DESCRIPTION

The LH-090 allows to verify signal polarity at each step of the signal transmission path in recording studios,
theatres, sound reinforcement systems etc.
The test system consists of two separate units:
K the transmitter
K the receiver
The transmitter generates a sequence of electrical and acoustical impulses which are radiated through the
internal loudspeaker or may be picked up at the transmitter's jack output connector. After having passed the
device-under-test the signal is fed either into the receiver's electrical input equipped with a jack connector or
picked up by using the receiver's internal condensor microphone.
The receiver processes the input signal and assesses the slope of the pulse being either positive or
negative. The result of this process is displayed on the colored display of the receiver.
Connect the transmitter via the 6.3 mm jack connector with the test object for electrical testing. For acoustical
testing, do not plug in a jack connector at the receiver and the signal will be picked up by the receiver's
microphone.
Note: Switch off music or suspend singing during the test phase. To achieve optimal test results there may
not be high ambient noise.
Caution!
Input voltages beyond 50 V may damage the receiver.

CONNECTIONS

The OMINTRONIC LH-090 set is equipped with unbalanced jack plugs. Since professional audio devices are
frequently equipped with XLR plugs, we recommend the purchase of the appropriate XLR/jack adaptors.
This set can then be stored in the optional accessory bag.
