these operating instructions and fully understands all the
information provided before using the tool for the first time.
• These operating instructions contain important advice that
is necessary for the safe and trouble-free operation of your
VIGOR tool.
• For intended use of the VIGOR tool, it is essential that all
safety precautions and other information in these operating
instructions are adhered to.
• For this reason, always keep these operating instructions
together with your VIGOR tool.
• This tool has been designed for specific applications. VIGOR
wishes to emphasise that any modifications to the tool and/
or use of the tool not in line with its intended application is
strictly forbidden.
• VIGOR does not accept any express or implied warranty
or liability for any injuries to persons or damage to property
caused by improper application, misuse of the device or a
disregard of the safety instructions.
Furthermore, the general safety and accident
prevention regulations in the application range of this
device must be observed and adhered to.

2. For your safety

2.1 General

• This device was developed and manufactured according
to the technical norms and standards valid at the time and
is considered to be operationally reliable. Nevertheless,
the device can present a danger when it is not used as
intended or in an inappropriate way by non-qualified
personnel. Please make sure that any person using this tool
or carrying out any maintenance work carefully reads these
operating instructions and fully understands all the provided
information before using the tool.
• Keep the operating instructions together with the tool set
at all times.
• Modifications of any kind or any additions or modifications
to the unit are prohibited.
• All safety, warning and operating information on the tool
must be kept legible. Immediately replace any damaged
labels or stickers.
• All specified installation values or setting ranges must be
observed.

2.2 Intended use

The induction heater V4891-1.0 is exclusively for use in the
mechanical engineering and automotive industries for
loosening stuck (rusted) metallic connections.
Operational reliability is only guaranteed if the device is used as
intended in accordance with the information provided in the
operating instructions. In addition to the safety advice given in
these operating instructions, the valid general safety regulations
and regulations for the prevention of accidents for the application

government, state or federal regulations.
The VIGOR induction heater V4891-1.0 generates an
alternating current with a high frequency. This flows through
the heating coil and generates an alternating magnetic field,
which uses the electromagnetic induction principle to cause
the electrons inside the heated workpiece to vibrate. This
energy is converted into heat, which heats up the metal on
the device. The more easily magnetisable the material is, the
more heat is generated. That is the reason why this device
heats non-ferrous metals and alloys but has no effect on glass,
plastic, wood, textiles and other non-conductive materials.
• Only use the device if it is in a technically fault-free and
operationally safe state.
• All safety equipment must always be within reach and
should be checked regularly.
• Any incorrect use of the VIGOR induction heater or use
that fails to comply with the safety instructions can result in
serious injury or even death.
• Any deviation from the intended use and/or any
misapplication of the device is not permitted and will be
considered as improper use.
• Any claims against the manufacturer and / or its authorised
agents resulting from damage caused by improper use of
the tool are excluded.
• Any personal injury or material losses caused by improper
use are the sole responsibility of the owner.

2.3 Dangers that may arise from using the device

Before each use, check the VIGOR induction heater for
full functionality. Do not use the induction heater if its
functional efficiency cannot be ensured or if damage is
detected as a result of this check. If the induction heater is
used, when it is not in full working order, you risk severe injuries
to persons and damage to property.
Attention: Electric energy may cause serious injuries. The
following fundamental safety instructions must be observed
and adhered to in order to avoid electric shock, injuries or fire:
