● Check the filter regularly for
dirt and damage. See Chap. 6,
Cleaning and maintenance.
● Change the filter when the
filter change display at the
room air control lights up.
Only use original filters.
● For reasons of hygiene, the
filters should be changed
before starting the unit up
after it has been switched off
for some while, e.g. before
starting to heat again in the
autumn.
● A safety circuit breaker
switches the fans off if the
front shutter is opened. It is
not permitted to bridge the
safety circuit breaker.
● Switch the ventilation unit off
immediately if you discover
damage or faults that could
endanger persons or property.
Make sure the unit cannot be
switched back on until it has
been fully repaired.
● Installation is only permitted
when carried out by trained
specialists.
● Electrical connections and
repairs are only permitted
when carried out by trained
specialists.

● The ventilation unit may only
be operated using the rated
voltage and frequency shown
on the rating plate.
● Disconnect the ventilation unit
from the mains supply before
carrying out any cleaning and
maintenance work – switch off
the mains fuse at the fuse box.
Position a visible warning
notice at the fuse box to avoid
the unit being accidentally
switched back on.
● Never operate without duct
connections. Only operate
the ventilation unit when all
duct connections are in place.
Sound absorbers significantly
reduce the noise emissions.
● Modifications and alterations
to the ventilation unit and the
control are not permitted and
release the manufacturer from
any guarantee obligations and
liability.

4.2 Intended use

● The RB 300 or RB 400 is
a ventilation unit with heat
recovery system.
● It provides controlled ventila-
tion of apartments, offices or
comparable rooms.
