7.1.1

Preparation for control system PSQ6000 XQR

Control is prepared for the control system PSQ6000 XQR.
Rewelds are not done in UIR-mode, but in KSR- or PHA-mode (regarding
measuring, regulation, supervision and stepper). KSR-supervision is further
active, if UI-supervision without UI-regulation is programmed.
7.1.2

Initial dressing function

The function Initial dressing can be activated via timer parameter.
When this function is activated for a specific electrode a „Tip Dress Request" will
come immediately after the „Tip replaced" input signal.
7.1.3

% I Prewarning:

Phase value monitoring is carried out after each welding schedule. The mean
phase value is compared to electrode parameters
• % limitation
• %I prewarning
• lower %I prewarning.
If one of the limits is exceeded, a warning is output. This warning will remain
active until the next tip dressing / tip change cycle or until the actual %I values are
reset at the user interface.
7.1.4

Schedule

Program start is subdivided into two parts: New spot selection and Program start.
The robot initially selects a new spot number at the corresponding timer inputs.
The spot selection has 8 bits and corresponds to the program number.
The timer immediately interprets the spot number. The timer starts to prepare the
corresponding welding program and to set the program-dependent and electrode
dependent timer outputs accordingly.
The actual program start is initiated by the input "Start" of the robot. At the end of
the schedule, the timer will either set the "Weld complete" output, if the schedule
was o.k., or the "Welding fault" output will be set if the schedule was not o.k., or
the "Timer ready" output will be reset if a general fault was present.
When the robot resets the "Start" input, the timer will reset the "Weld complete"
output. The fault has to be corrected and reset in the event of an incorrect
schedule.
7.1.5

Isolation Contactor Control

This input will monitor the operation of the weld contactor. An auxiliary contact on
the weld contactor will be connected to this input. The input will be "on" (24V)
when the weld contactor is closed. This input is checked at the end of Squeeze
Time. If the Input is "off", the weld will be aborted and an error message "Weld
Contactor 1 Not Closed" will be displayed.
The input will be checked after opening the Weld Contactor. If the input is not "off"
in 200 milliseconds, a fault will occur and the error message "Weld Contactor 1
Did Not Open" will be displayed.
The Weld Contactor Output will be set with the receipt of a program start (internal
or external), if serial Input "Weld Contactor Enable" is high and ignition is set.
Output "Close Weld Contactor" will stay energized until serial Input "Weld
