Operation
Working with the Stapler
After inserting the staples into the magazine the Stapler is ready for use.
To avoid accidental release of the staples, the device is fitted with 2
independent safety catches. Only when the Stapler is subject to a downwards
pressure against the Safety Trigger (2) which comprises a plate covering the
exit point of the Stapler, will the trigger be pushed upwards, releasing the
safety catch. Additionally, both the Trigger Safety Catch (4) and the Trigger (5)
must be pressed simultaneously before staples are released.
Adjusting the Impact Force
The Staple Impact Force Adjustment Knob (3) is located at the top of the
Stapler. In its normal position this knob is unscrewed to a point where it just
touches the Stapler housing. In this position it is adjusted for maximum impact
force. To reduce the staple impact force, turn the knob anti-clockwise. This
may be especially necessary when working with very soft materials, as a
stronger driving force might cause the staples to push completely through the
material.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always disconnect the machine from the power supply before maintaining or
cleaning it.
Never immerse the machine in water or other liquids. Use a soft dry cloth to
clean the device. Do not use aggressive chemicals or solvents to clean the
machine as these may damage the plastic case.
The Stapler and the Charging Unit do not include parts which can be
maintained or repaired by the user. In the event a defect is observed, for your
own safety always have the device repaired by a qualified technician.
