Preparation

It is recommended that the overall Aliro system concept
is clarified. For instance:
IP addressing
l
Aliro software is installed in a PC (server)
l
The basic system configuration for the particular
l
AP is decided
This eases the on-site testing and verification.
Before mounting, wiring and starting up the AP, ensure
to have the following available:
Torx 20 screwdriver for housing and Phillips PH0 or
l
Flat 3.0 mm screwdriver for terminal blocks.
A network connection
l
Appropriate power supply
l
Any supplementary units (for example reader) must
l
be prepared
Correct cable types
l

Installing

The AP is connected to an Internet/Intranet network
which allows for communication with the Aliro system.
Reader connections
The readers should be connected to the appropriate
terminal blocks (A, B, -, +).
If other than an OSDP based reader is installed, the
outputs OUT1-4 may be needed for LED and buzzer
control. Please read the Aliro Installation manual.
For each reader terminal block, there is an End of Line
(EOL) jumper available. This can optionally be used to
terminate the reader communication wires.
Mounting
Mount the unit in such a way that the wiring and
connectors easily can be applied. Note that there must
be a minimum 10 mm area free around the housing to
enable for demounting the lid. Please refer to the section
Mechanical for a view of the layout in 1:2 scale.
Tamper function
The tamper is very important for the protection of the
mounting. There are two types of tampers:
Opening the lid. See "AP Diagram" on page 5, item
l
17.
Removing unit from the wall. See "AP Diagram" on
l
page 5, item 25.
The wall tamper requires that the unit is properly fixed to
wall with a screw. If the unit is removed, the plastic plug
(which presses on the tamper switch) breaks and the
tamper alarm thus becomes active.
Power supply
The power supply can be either a central source (battery
supported) or a local PSU.

Battery
One battery type CR2032 is supplied and should be
mounted in the battery socket (see item 13) with the
plus (+) mounted downwards. The battery keeps the
data intact for about 30 days during any power fail.

Input and Output functions

All inputs and outputs are configurable from the host
software. The table below shows an example. It is also
possible to use monitored input (double-balanced).
Before any wiring to these connectors is done, the aim
of the signals must be clarified and defined.
Default settings
In the system software there are some default selec-
tions to be optionally chosen and which follows the table
below. These settings can be altered if necessary.

Optional

Micro-SD card
The AP has a slot for using a Micro-SD card. This might
be used for future applications like system restore and
support solutions.

The unit is prepared with two different USB-A
connectors.
