Firmware update

HTD 6xx
1. Install the software "CTF5_Utility.exe" on a Windows-
based PC. The beam setter can be updated with this
software.
2. Connect the PC to the beam setter with a serial
cable, 9-pole M / F (pin to pin).
3. Switch on the beam setter.
4. Select the menu item "Service" with the arrow keys
and confirm with the Enter key.
5. Select the menu item "FIRMWARE UPDATE" with the
arrow keys and confirm with the Enter key.
6. Enter the password: "1234" with the arrow keys and
confirm with the Enter key.
7. Select the option "YES" with the arrow keys and
confirm with the Enter key.
8. The board can now be updated.
1. Start the software "CTF5_Utility" from the PC.
2. Select the "Firmware Update" page.
3. Select the new firmware software (xxxx.frw) with
the "Browse" button.
4. Start the update with the "Update Firmware" button.
5. The beam setter is re-started automatically after
successful updating. The new FW version appears on
the LCD.

This function is only to be executed if new firmware
(FW) is available. The system could be damaged if
use is made of a USB stick not containing FW.
This mask can be used to update the device firmware.
1. Open up the mask. Click onto Options in the start
mask.
2. Click onto FW in the Options mask.
3. Insert the USB stick with the new firmware in the
USB interface on the side of the light box.
4. Click onto Update and wait for completion of
updating.
5. Remove the USB stick.
6. Confirm with .

The device firmware has been updated. The "Options"
mask appears.
