Maintenance and Cleaning

Before undertaking maintenance work switch off the demolition
hammer.
 Clean the machine with a moist cloth or absorbent tissue.
 Do not allow liquids of any kind to enter the machine when
cleaning the machine.
 Regularly clean dust, debris and old grease off the tool chuck.
 After longer periods of non-use or when starting the machine
up in sub-freezing temperatures, allow the machine to run
without load for a few minutes to distribute the lubricant within
the machine.
 Inspect the oil filling of the
transmission in regular inter-
vals.
 Position
hammer upright so the oil can
collect on one place. If there is
less than 3 mm oil in the
camper,
chamber cap (6) with the
included spanner (9) and re-fill
fresh machine oil. After re-
filling, carefully tighten the chamber cap. Use SAE: 10W-30
oil.
 If it is necessary to open the housing for further maintenance
and repair work, please have it done by a qualified profes-
sional or contact the Westfalia customer service.
