1. CONNECTION OF SPEAKERS
Two sets of speaker systems can be connected
to this unit. A performance of music can be
enjoyed using either both speaker systems or
with only one of them.
Note:(1) When 4 ohm speakers are connected to

both A and B, and the speaker switches
A and B are both depressed, the com-
bined impedance of the speakers is only
2 ohms and so the protector lamp will
come on. Avoid using this arrangement.
Be sure to connect speakers of more
than 8 ohms when two sets of speakers
are to be operated simultaneously.
(2)Turn the speaker switches off when only
headphones are being used.

CONNECTION OF TAPE DECKS
Both DIN record/playback single cord con-
nection and pin jack connection can be used.

Insert a DIN record/playback connector
into
the
TAPE-1
DIN
REC/PLAY
socket.
Connection with pin-jacks
Connect the record terminals (LINE IN)
of the tape deck to the TAPE-1 REC
OUT terminals and connect the output
terminals (LINE OUT) of the tape deck
to the TAPE-1 PLAYBACK
terminals
of the SR-802.
Connect of a second tape deck
Since a DIN REC/PLAY socket is not

connect
the
record cords and the playback cords to
the TAPE-2 REC OUT and PLAYBACK
terminals with pin-jacks.

Do not use the DIN record/play-
back connector at the same time
as the TAPE-1 pin-jacks. —
Be sure to set the tape select
switch to SOURCE except when
playing back tapes.
When the TAPE SELECT switch
is set on TAPE-1 or TAPE-2 while
using the 3-head tape deck, the
recording can be monitored.

4. TAPE DUBBING
For dubbing from one tape to another, follow
this procedure:
(A)
For dubbing from TAPE-1 to TAPE-2
(1) Connect the tape deck which will be
used for playback to the TAPE-1 ter-
minal, (or to the TAPE-1 DIN terminal).
(2) Connect the tape deck which will be
used for recording to the TAPE-2 ter-
minal.
(3) Set the TAPE SELECT switch on 1 > 2.
(When the 3-head tape deck is used for
recording, the recording. can be moni-
tored.)
(B)
For dubbing from TAPE-2 to TAPE-1
(1) Connect the tape deck which will be
used for playback to the TAPE-2 ter-
minal.
(2) Connect the tape deck which will be
used for recording to the TAPE-1 ter-
minal, (or to the TAPE-1 DIN terminal).
Set the TAPE SELECT switch on 2 > 1.
(When the 3-head tape deck is used for
recording, the recording can be moni-
tored.
For independent dubbing on a tape deck
while listening to an FM broadcast or
a record
(1) Connections for the tape deck are the
same as in (A).
(2) Set
the
TAPE
SELECT
switch on
SOURCE MONITOR.
Note that only
1 > 2 dubbing is possible in this case.
