Firmware update for iPhone with Lightning connector
compatible with AppRadio Mode
p The following descriptions apply to the fol-
lowing models.

p In this manual, the iPhone 5 and later mod-
els are referred to as "iPhone with Light-
ning connector."
If you want to enjoy AppRadio Mode, music
and/or video playback from your iPhone with
Lightning connector and use the iPhone with
Lightning connector for the first time, be sure
to apply the update in addition to completing
the software upgrade with this product.
Verifying whether iPhone
with Lightning connector is
not supported

Press the HOME button to display the
"Top Menu" screen.

Touch [Settings].
The "Settings Menu" screen appears.

Touch [AV Settings].
The "AV System Settings" menu appears.

Make sure that "iPod Settings" does

not appear on the "AV System Settings"
menu.
You need to update firmware for iPhone with
Lightning connector compatible with
AppRadio Mode.
p If "iPod Settings" appears on the "AV Sys-
tem Settings" menu, there is no need to
apply this firmware update. For your refer-
ence to connection, see update instruction
manual on the website.
