Instructions for upgrading
Updating the Bluetooth
wireless technology software
p If you have already applied the update
using the upgrade microSD card before
and the current Bluetooth firmware version
is 3.32, there is no need to apply this firm-
ware update.
Access the Pioneer website to check your
phone's compatibility. If your phone is on the
list and you wish to update, manually update
the Bluetooth firmware after the automatic up-
grade is finished.

CAUTION
! Be sure to upgrade your navigation system
first.
! Be careful to follow the update procedure cor-
rectly. If you make a mistake, Bluetooth wire-
less technology functions will become
unavailable.
p Consult your authorised dealer if you are
unable to use Bluetooth wireless technol-
ogy functions.
! Be sure to complete the Bluetooth firmware
update procedure without interruption.
p Registered phones that are listed on the
"Connection List" screen are cleared by
the Bluetooth firmware update.

Insert the upgrade microSD card into
the SD card adapter (for AVIC-F30BT and
AVIC-F40BT).

Insert the upgrade microSD card into
the SD card slot.

Press the HOME button to display the
"Top Menu" screen.

Touch [Settings].
The "Settings Menu" screen appears.

Touch [Bluetooth Settings].
The "Bluetooth Settings" screen appears.

Touch [Firmware update].
The current version is displayed.

Confirm the Bluetooth firmware ver-
sion.
Make sure that the current version is 3.22 or
later.

If the current version is 3.22 or later,
touch [Firmware update].
The message confirming whether or not to
start the update will appear.

Make sure that the current Bluetooth
firmware version is 3.22 or later and the
new Bluetooth firmware version is 3.32.
10 Touch [Yes].
Update starts.
11 Wait until the upgrade process is com-
plete.
A message will appear after the update is
complete.
12 Touch [OK].
The message disappears, and the map screen
returns.
13 Eject the upgrade microSD card.
Update is completed.
