Note
The active field distributor AFDiSD with the above-mentioned approvals can be used as a participant in the device
category 2G, 3G and 2D in hazardous areas in zone 1, zone 2 and zone 21.
Intrinsically safe electric field devices in device category 1G, 2G and 3G for zones 0, 1 and 2 as well as in device
category 1D, 2D and 3D for zones 20, 21 and 22 may be connected.

Installation
• Ensure a horizonal position for installation.
Danger of Explosion
Ignitable sparks or prohibited surface temperatures may occur under certain circumstances during installation. Never
conduct installations under explosive conditions.
Caution
Danger of injury due to the weight of the AFDiSD
The AFDiSD weights 4.5 kg. Hold it safely in your hand during installation.
• Note the installation and construction guidelines according to EN 60079-14 during installation.
• Note the changed strip length of the cabels (see: Technical Information).
Wiring
• Note the installation and construction guidelines according to EN 60079-14 as well as the country-specific guidelines while
laying the cable and during wiring.
• You must ensure the strict separation of intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe wires during wiring. Lead these into
separate cable channels.
• Only intrinsically safe field devices matching the FISCO model may be connected to spur lines S1 to S6.
• Use cable type A e.g. PB FC Process Cable (blue), 6XV1830-5EH10 as the bus cable.
• Note that unused glands need to be provided with the blanking plug 6ES7157-0AG80-1XA1.
Commissioning
• Note the national guidelines during commissioning.
• Functional checks must comply with the guidelines of the European standard EN 60079-17.
The regulations of the international standard IEC 60079-17 are included herein.
Special conditions for safe use
1. The coated enclosure shall not be used in areas of Group III applications which are affected by charge-producing
processes, mechanical friction and separation processes, electron emission (e.g. in the vicinity of electrostatic
coating equipment) and pneumatically conveyed dust.
2. The cable entries of the thread size M16 shall be mechanically protected from impact in accordance with IEC 60079-
0, cl. 26.4.2 due to low mechanical danger.
3. The Ex eb protection of the equipment is provided by the integrated connection box with Ex eb certified cable glands
and internal, Ex eb compliant field wiring connections. The enclosure provides protection degree IP66.
Before connecting, the cables shall be stripped over the lengths detailed in the manual. Tighten screws and cable
gland with the correct torque, see torque values the in manual.
4. For cable entries with protection class Ex tb, it must be ensured that the sealing ring is approved for the temperature
range used.
