Radio-controlled switch socket,
433 MHz
Item no. 61 82 88
Intended use
By using the radio controlled switch socket with the suitable hand-held transmitter, a consumer
load connected to the radio controlled switch socket can be turned on or off via a wireless
transmission.
The radio-controlled switch socket is only intended to be used in dry, closed indoor locations.
All the safety and operating instructions in this manual must be followed carefully. These in-
structions not only protect the device but, in particular, your health. Please read the entire

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void.
• The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modifi cation of this product is not
permitted for safety and approval reasons (CE).
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the product
emits only relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunction of life-
support systems. The same may also apply to other areas.
• The radio-controlled switch socket is designed in accordance with protection class
I. Only a standard mains socket (230V~/50Hz with protective earth) for the pub-
lic supply grid may be used as the power source for the radio-controlled switch
socket.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Therefore,
be especially careful when children are around. Children might try to push objects
through the radio-controlled switch socket's openings. There is danger of a life-
threatening electric shock!
• The product may be used in dry, enclosed indoor areas only; it must not get damp
or wet.
Never touch the product and the mains plug, respectively, with wet or damp hands
when trying to connect to the radio controlled main socket. There is danger of a
life-threatening electric shock!
• Never remove a mains plug from the front of the radio switch socket by pulling
on the power cable. Always pull the plug from the socket, in the radio-controlled
switch socket, using the gripping surface provided on the side.
• Do not connect adaptor plugs in series!
• The device is only voltage-free when it disconnected from the mains socket.
• Do not overload the radio switch socket (take note of the input power in the techni-
cal data at the end of the operating manual!).
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• If the product casing is damaged, do not use the product anymore! When it is still
connected to the mains, do not touch the radio switch socket or the connected
device! First, switch off the mains socket to which the radio switch socket is con-
nected (switch off at the circuit breaker). Only then can you remove the radio-
controlled switch socket from the mains socket. Take the product to a specialist
workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.

Version 08/13
A
B
A) Control-LED (lights up when the mains socket on the front is activated)
B) Mains socket on the front for connection to a consumer load
C) Coding switch I, II, III, IV for one of the four address codes
D) Coding switch for switch channel selection 1, 2, 3, 4
E) Safety plug for connection to the mains socket
Setting the Address Codes
One of the four address codes (I, II, III, IV) can be set on both the hand-held transmitter and the
radio controlled socket. Thus, several radio controlled switch sets can be operated in parallel,
without interfering with one another.
Select one of the address codes (I, II, III, IV) on the hand-held transmitter. Set exactly the same
address code on the associated radio controlled socket(s); use a fl at screwdriver to turn the
coding switch (C).
Setting the Switching Channel of the Radio-Controlled Switch
Socket
On the back of the radio controlled mains socket there is another coding switch (D) that is
marked with the numbers "1", "2", "3" and "4". It is used to select one of the four switching
channels (the hand-held radio transmitter has also imprinted the numbers "1", "2", "3" and "4")
if more than one radio controlled switch socket is operated.
Start-up, Function Test
Plug the radio-controlled switch socket (without the consumer load connected!) into the desig-
nated earthed mains socket.
You can now test the function of the radio-controlled switch socket, by briefl y pressing the respec-
tive "ON" button for the corresponding switching channel (1, 2, 3 or 4). The red control-LED (A)
on the radio controlled socket lights up. The socket (B) on the front is now activated; the mains
voltage is available and a connected consumer load is turned on.
Briefl y press the button "OFF", for the switching channel, and the control-LED (A) is turned off
again; the mains voltage at the front mains socket (B) and thus, the connected consumer load,
is turned off.

Operation

Connect a consumer load to the front socket (B).
By using the "ON" or "OFF" button for the switching channel, on the hand-held transmitter, the
radio controlled socket is turned on/off again, using the same set switching channel (control-
LED (A) lights up or turns off).
If you set a different code on the hand-held radio transmitter and the radio-controlled
switch socket, the switch socket will not react to the switching commands on the
hand-held radio transmitter!
It is of course possible to set the same switching channel for two or more radio-con-
trolled switch sockets. By this the two radio-controlled switch sockets are activated
or deactivated simultaneously by one keystroke.
Please consult the section "Technical Data" for the consumer load's permis-
sible maximum power.
