First use

Cleaning before use

Before using the appliance for the first time, it
must be cleaned thoroughly.
Requirements:
– The mains plug is not inserted into a socket.
– All accessories from (7) to (12) have been
removed. Otherwise, proceed as described
in the section "Removing the mixing attach-
ment" on page EN-14.
1. Remove all packaging and protective
films from the appliance if you have not
already done so.
2. Wipe the appliance housing clean with a
damp cloth.
3. Clean all accessory parts from (7) to (12)
with warm soapy water or in the dish-
washer.
4. Dry all parts thoroughly.

Choose a suitable location

– The surface on which the appliance will be
placed must be firm, level, dry, waterproof
and robust in order to provide stable sup-
port for the appliance and to protect furni-
ture surfaces and kitchen worktops.
– Make sure that the ventilation slots under-
neath the appliance remain unobstructed.
– Position the appliance so that it cannot tip
over.
– Do not place the appliance directly on
or near a cooker or near any other heat
source.
– Position the appliance so that the appli-
ance and mains cord are out of the reach
of children.
– Any water penetration may damage the
appliance. Do not set up the appliance
near taps or a sink.

Connecting the appliance

WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
The appliance operates with 220–240 V~/
50–60 Hz mains voltage. Touching live
parts may result in severe injury or death.
Do not start up or continue operating

the appliance if it is visibly damaged
(e.g. the mains cable is defective).
Unplug the appliance and have it re-
paired.
1. Lay out the mains cord so that it will not
be damaged by sharp edges or by com-
ing into contact with hot surfaces, e.g.
electric hobs.
2. Connect the mains plug to a properly in-
stalled and easily accessible socket.
