1. First switch the pump off and then the PURE LIGHT UV-C fi lter , disconnecting the power cord plug from the socket.

2. Make sure that the fi lter hydraulic circuit is empty and free from water.

3. Hold the unlock button (h) and turn the fi lter head (i) counterclockwise so that the indicator on the unlock button can move

from the closed lock to the open lock position (Fig. B page 19).

4. Remove the fi lter head (i) from the fi lter body (a).

5. Remove the safety screw (g) and unscrew the clamp ring (f) (Fig.C pag. 19).

6. Carefully remove the quartz tube (b) from its seat.

7. Remove the UVC lamp (c) from the package and install into the lamp socket, slightly pressing on it, until you hear a click, that

confi rms the proper installation (Fig. D pag. 19).

WARNING: When replacing the UV-C lamp installed during the fi rst installation with a new one, the plastic support provided in the

new lamp package must be removed, since it is not intended for use in PURE LIGHT UV-C fi lter.

WARNING: Check the condition of the quartz tube O-ring (d). In case of poor elasticity, fl attening or rupture, replace it, taking it

out from the seat and slipping it along the entire length of the quartz tube. Install a new O-ring proceeding in the reverse order

(Fig. E pag. 19). It is recommended to use only original spare parts, because thanks to the special materials these parts ensure

safe and long-term performance of the fi lter.

8. Put the fi lter head on a fl at supporting surface, install the quartz tube (b) into its seat and fasten the clamping ring (f) up to

the stop (the tooth on the fastening nut runs against the seat of the safety screw located on the fi lter head) (Fig. F page 19).

9. Fasten the safety screw (g) (Fig. G page 19).

10. Insert the fi lter head (i) into the fi lter body (a) so that the indicator on the unlock button (h) corresponds to the open lock

image (Fig. H pag. 19).

11. Turn the fi lter head (i) clockwise, until the indicator on the unlock button corresponds to the closed lock image.

12. Connect the PURE LIGHT UVC fi lter to the electrical socket.

2 QUARTZ TUBE CLEANING:

To perform this operation properly, it is recommended to carefully follow the instructions below:

1. Follow instructions in clauses 1-3 of the previous paragraph Va – ASSEMBLING / REPLACEMENT OF UVC LAMP.

2. Put the fi lter head (i) on a fl at supporting surface, clean the quartz tube (b) with non-aggressive detergent for glass units.

WARNING: To avoid damage of the quartz tube during the cleaning operation, it is recommended to avoid using units or

supports which may rub against the tube or cleave it. It is also recommended to pay utmost attention when handling the quartz

tube which might get broken and cause wounds.

3. Assemble the PURE LIGHT UVC fi lter again, following the instructions in clauses 9-11 of the previous paragraph Va –

ASSEMBLING / REPLACEMENT OF UVC LAMP.

3 REPLACEMENT OF FILTER HEAD O-RING:

To perform this operation properly, it is recommended to carefully follow the instructions below:

1. Follow instructions in clauses 1-3 of the previous paragraph Va – ASSEMBLING / REPLACEMENT OF UVC LAMP.

2. Remove the fi lter head O-ring (l), fi rst sliding it on the clamping ring and then on the quartz tube. Replace the ring with a new

one, proceeding in the reverse order. It is recommended to use only original spare parts, because thanks to the special materials

these parts ensure safe and long-term performance of the fi lter.

3. Assemble the PURE LIGHT UVC fi lter again, following the instructions in clauses 9-11 of the previous paragraph Va –

ASSEMBLING / REPLACEMENT OF UVC LAMP.
