Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Mit Ihrem Kauf haben Sie sich für ein hochwertiges
Produkt entschieden. Machen Sie sich vor der Montage und der ersten Inbetriebnahme mit dem Pro-
dukt vertraut. Lesen Sie hierzu aufmerksam die nachfolgende Montageanleitung und die Sicherheits-
hinweise. Benutzen Sie das Produkt nur wie beschrieben und für die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche.
Bewahren Sie diese Anleitung gut auf. Händigen Sie alle Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Produkts

2. Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der Sattel ist ausschließlich für die private Nutzung als Sitzfläche für Fahrräder bestimmt.
3. Sicherheitshinweise
3.1 Verletzungsgefahr!
- die Montage des Sattels hat fachmännisch zu erfolgen, er darf beim Fahren nicht hin- und
herrutschen. Niemals den Sattel während der Fahrt justieren.
- Bei Verwendung von Schnellspannern unbedingt darauf achten, daß diese nach dem Feststellen
anliegen.
- Vergewissern Sie sich vor jedem Gebrauch, dass alle Verschraubungen fest sitzen ggf. ziehen Sie
lose Schraubverbindungen nach. Der Sattel darf nur in einwandfreiem Zustand verwendet werden!
Bei Rissen oder tiefen Einkerbungen an sensiblen Teilen des Sattels (z. B. an Schraubverbindungen)
ist dieser umgehend auszutauschen.
3.2 Abwendung von Sachschäden
Der Sattel darf nicht in Berührung mit spitzen Gegenständen kommen.

2. Intended use
The saddle is intended only for private use as a seat for bicycles.
3. Safety information
3.1 Risk of injury!
- The saddle should be fitted professionally; it must not slide forwards and backwards when cycling.
Never adjust the saddle whilst cycling.
- If using a quick release, you must make sure that it is tight after closing it.
- Before each use, make sure that all screws are tight and tighten any loose screws if necessary. The
saddle may only be used if it is in proper condition! If there are any cracks or grooves in sensitive
areas of the saddle (e.g. at bolted joints) it must be replaced immediately.
3.2 Avoiding damage
The saddle must not come into contact with sharp objects.

4. Montage
Für die Montage des Velmia-City-Sattels und des Velmia-Trekking-Sattels beachten Sie die Anwei-
sungen unter Punkt 4.1, während für die Montage des Velmia-MTB-Sattels die Anweisungen unter
Punkt 4.2 zu berücksichtigen sind.
4.1 Montage Velmia-City-Sattel und Velmia-Trekking-Sattel
Montage mit Kerzen-Sattelstützen (Bild A):
Befestigen Sie den Sattel mittels des vormontierten Sattelklobens (1) auf der Kerzensattelstütze. Hier-
zu die Mutter am Sattelkloben lösen, bis die Kerze der Sattelstütze in den Kloben passt. Anschlie-
ßend die Mutter wieder gut festziehen (20 Nm).
Montage mit einer Patentsattelstütze.
Für die Benutzung mit einer Patentsattelstütze den vormontierten Sattelkloben komplett entfernen,
hierzu die Mutter am Sattelkloben abschrauben und den Bolzen herausziehen. Danach kann der
Sattel direkt auf einer Patent-Sattelstütze montiert werden (Bild B).
4.2 Montage Velmia-MTB-Sattel
Montage mit einer Patentsattelstütze (Bild B).
Der Sattel kann direkt auf der Patent-Sattelstütze montiert werden.
Montage mit Kerzen-Sattelstützen
Verfahren Sie wie unter 4.1 beschrieben (der Sattelkloben ist beim MTB-Sattel nicht im Lieferumfang
enthalten).
5. Einstellung der Sitzposition
Zur Höheneinstellung des Sattels auf das Fahrrad setzen (damit Sie nicht umkippen, lassen sich von
einer anderen Person helfen) und die Ferse bei senkrecht gestellter Tretkurbel auf das untere Pedal
stellen. Der Sattel hat dann die richtige Höhe, wenn die Ferse mit durchgestecktem Bein eben auf
dem Pedal sitzt. Beachten Sie die Markierung an der Sattelstütze für die Mindesteinstecktiefe, die
Sattelstütze darf nicht mit der Markierung aus dem Sattelrohr zeigen.
Zur horizontalen Einstellung richten Sie die Sitzfläche des Sattels zunächst waagerecht aus (Bild C).
Anschließend setzen Sie sich auf das Fahrrad (damit Sie nicht umkippen, lassen sich von einer an-
deren Person helfen) und stellen Sie den Fuß bei waagerecht gestellter Tretkurbel auf das nach vorn
zeigende Pedal. Den Sattel soweit nach vorne zum Lenker oder hinten zum Gepäckträger verschie-
ben (Bild C), bis ihre Kniescheibe im Lot mit der Pedalmitte ist (Bild D). Für sicheren Halt unbedingt
darauf achten, dass der Sattel innerhalb der Markierung befestigt wird (Bild E).
Bei den Modellen Velmia-City-Sattel und Velmia-Trekking-Sattel sicherstellen, dass nach jeder
Einstellung des Sattel die Mutter am Sattelkloben wieder gut festgezogen ist (20 Nm).
6. Reinigung und Aufbewahrung
Den Sattel stets in einem trockenen Raum aufbewahren und einzig mit einem feuchten Tuch ab-
wischen, anschließend gut trocknen. Benutzen Sie keine ätzenden oder scheuernden Reinigungs-
mittel. Hierdurch entstehen Beschädigungen an der Satteldecke.

4. Fitting
For the fitting instructions for the Velmia city saddle and the Velmia trekking saddle please see
the information under point 4.1 or, for the fitting instructions for the Velmia mountain bike saddle,
please see the information under point 4.2.
4.1 Fitting the Velmia city saddle and Velmia trekking saddle
Fitting with plain seatposts (figure A):
Attach the saddle to the plain seatpost using the pre-fitted saddle clamp (1). To do so, loosen the nut
of the saddle clamp until the seatpost fits in the clamp. Then retighten the nut securely (20 Nm).

To use with a seatpost with integrated clamp, remove the pre-fitted saddle clamp completely; to do
so unscrew the nut on the saddle clamp and take the bolt out. The saddle can then be directly fitted
onto a seatpost with integrated clamp (figure B).
4.2 Fitting the Velmia mountain bike saddle

The saddle can be fitted directly onto the seatpost with integrated clamp.
Fitting with plain seatposts
Follow the procedure described under 4.1 (the saddle clamp is not included with the mountain bike
saddle).
5. Changing the sitting position
To change the height of the saddle, sit on the bicycle (have someone help you so that you do not
fall over) and, making sure that the pedals are in a vertical position, place your heel on the lower
pedal. The saddle is at the correct height when your heel sits flat on the pedal when your leg is
stretched out fully. Take note of the marking on the seatpost for the minimum insertion depth; the
marking must not be visible above the top of the seat tube.
To adjust the saddle in the horizontal plane, first adjust the saddle so that it is level (figure C). Then
sit on the bicycle (have someone help you so that you do not fall over) and, making sure that the
pedals are in a vertical position, place your foot on the pedal which is facing forwards. Push the
saddle forwards towards the handlebars or backwards towards the luggage rack (figure C) until
your kneecap is perpendicular to the middle of the pedals (figure D). To ensure that it is secure,
make sure that the saddle is attached within the markings (figure E).
For the Velmia city saddle and Velmia trekking saddle models, make sure that the nut on the
saddle clamp is retightened properly (20 Nm) after adjusting the saddle each time.
6. Cleaning and storage
Always keep the saddle in a dry room; only wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not
use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents. The use of these agents may lead to damage to the
saddle cloth.

7. Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie alle Verpackungsmaterialien ordnungsgemäß und umweltgerecht! Geben Sie den
Sattel an einer geeigneten Sammelstelle ab und werfen diesen nicht in den Hausmüll. Eventuell
informieren Sie sich bei Ihrer lokalen Gemeinde- oder Stadtverwaltung über die aktuell gültigen
Entsorgungsbestimmungen.
8. Garantie
Der Sattel wurde mit größter Sorgfalt und unter strenger Qualitätskontrolle hergestellt. Garantiean-
sprüche können Sie innerhalb von 2 Jahren, gerechnet ab Kaufdatum, erheben. Bitte bewahren Sie
den Kassenbon auf. Die Garantie beschränkt sich auf Material- und Fabrikationsfehler und erlischt
bei missbräuchlicher oder unsachgemäßer Benutzung des Sattels. Ihre gesetzlichen Rechte werden
durch diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt. Bei Beanstandungen setzen Sie sich bitte mit
u. a. Service-Hotline in Verbindung oder senden uns eine Email. Mit Reparatur oder Austausch des
Sattel beginnt kein neuer Garantiezeitraum. Nach Ablauf der Garantie anfallende Reparaturen sind
kostenpflichtig.

7. Disposal
Dispose of all packaging material properly and in a way which does not harm the environment!
Take the saddle to an appropriate collection facility and do not put it in the domestic waste. If
necessary, ask your local or city authority for information about current waste disposal regulations.
8. Guarantee
This saddle was manufactured with great care and under strict quality control conditions. The
product is guaranteed for 2 years after the date of purchase. Please keep the receipt. The guarantee
is limited to material and manufacturing faults and becomes void if the saddle is misused or used
improperly. The guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. If you wish to make a claim, please
contact us on our service hotline below or send us an e-mail. The guarantee period does not restart
if the product is exchanged or repaired. After the guarantee has expired, you must cover the cost of
any necessary repairs.
