5 Technical Description
KNG 4 is a bench unit with power supply and USB connection. This power supply can be used for all RS 485
pyrometers from KLEIBER. The RS 485 to USB interface and the associated software Pyroskop Control used
for configuration of the connected pyrometer and for measurement and display of measurements.
5.1 Operating elements front side
At the front side of the bench uni is a pilot light button and a button to delete the maximum value memory.
Besides there are two status LED's that shows readiness during electrical connection and the USB port.

5.2 Operating elements rear side
On the rear side of the bench unit are the following connections:
• USB-Jack
• 12-pole pyrometer Jack

6 Using USB-Connection
Using a Windows operating system (7, 8 or 10), Windows will install the needed drivers automatic. An internet
connection may be required. The Software Pyroskop Control is included at the KNG 4. In the corresponding
manual, details regarding connection, parameterisation and measurement value recording are described.
