Charging
- If the operation LED (6) flashes continuously and slowly during operation, it means that the battery is
discharged and you should charge it in time.
- Use a USB cable (type-C) to charge the product.
- If the charge indicator (10) lights up red, the battery is being charged.
- If the charge indicator (10) lights up green, this means that charging is complete.
Soldering
- CAUTION Before soldering, clean the surface to be soldered, remove it from mechanical impurities,
degrease it and remove it with a chemical surface treatment.
- Place the tip of the soldering pen on the soldering point and at the same time place the soldering pen on
the tip. Melt some solder tin in that place and then attach the part to be joined. If necessary, melt a little
more solder tin. Cool the jointed area with a gentle stream of air to solidify the solder tin and thus to firmly
join the two parts.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- The soldering joint must be perfectly clean and electrolytically tight. Before starting work, remove the
oxidized layer, grease and other impurities mechanically (with sandpaper, brush or file) or chemically
(alcohol, petrol or solder paste).
- Apply a sufficient layer of tin solder to the soldering tip. Remove any corrosion or flakes with a damp cloth.
Never use a file on the tip!
- Before creating the joint, apply a small amount of solder to both joint surfaces, then soldering will be easier
and you will achieve a perfectly conductive joint.
- When soldering wires or cables, make sure that both ends are mechanically connected together (by
"hooking", twisting or eyelets).
- Apply as little solder as possible.
- Try to establish a connection as soon as possible.
CHARACTERISTICS OF CORRECT AND INCORRECT JOINTS
- The perfect joint is smooth and shiny. The edges of the joint adhered well to the metal.
- If the solidified tin has the shape of a teardrop, the solder has been insufficiently heated.
- If the tin is matte and slightly porous or crystalline, you will probably move the joint during cooling.
- If too little tin remained on the joint, the solder was either insufficiently melted or, conversely, too hot.
- If the tin is yellow or black, too much solder paste has been used or the core of the tin solder has become
too hot during soldering. This should be avoided especially when soldering electronic circuits, as most acid
solder pastes are corrosive, which reduces the life of the circuit.
