FIRST USE WARNING
CAUTION: The generator requires engine oil to operate properly. The generator, when
new from the package, contains no oil in the crankcase. You must add the proper amount
of oil before operating the generator for the first time.
Level of the engine oil
Check at every use the level of the engine oil before starting and after stopping the generator.
Before the use place the generator on a level surface
1.Unscrew the oil cap and clean the dipstick
2.Insert the dipstick without screwing
3.In case the oil level is under the minimum signed on the dipstick, fill the generator up till the
maximum level recommended.
4.Screw the oil cap
Fuel level
1.Unscrew the tank cap
2.Check the fuel level and refuel if necessary
3.Screw the tank cap

SETTING TO WORK

Manual starting
Start the generator according to these points:
1.Move the fuel faucet on "ON" position (open)
2.Move the throttle lever on "START" position
3.Extract the recoil starter
a.Pull on the recoil starter handle slowly until a slight resistance is felt. Then insert in original
position.
b.Pull quickly the recoil starter with both the hands
At low temperature, when difficult starting the engine, we recommend before operating to remove
the gum cap and add 2 cc. of engine oil.
CAUTION: Return cord gently into the machine. Never allow the cord to snap back.

Electric starting

b.Bring down the decompression valve. This valve will enter automatically with the exctraction of the recoil starter.
1.Starting
The preparatory for the electric starting is the same of the manual starting, points 1 and 2, the
point 3 changes as following:
a.Rotate the starting key clockwise till the "START" position
b.Leave the key once the engine started
c.If the engine does not start after 10 sec, wait 15 sec before to try again.
CAUTION: If the motor starter works too long, the battery could run down with the block of the
motor starter. During the functioning leave always the key on a "ON" position.
Battery
Check every month the level of the electrolyte. When the level touches the minimum, add dis-
tilled water till the maximum level. If the level of the electrolyte is not enough, the engine could do
not start. Keep always the liquid between the two levels, minimum and maximum. If the level is
too high, acid could exit and corrode the contiguous parts.
