AS050 Instructions
Follow the directions step by step. Do not begin
unwrapping rigging lines until the instructions
tell you to do so, because the lines tangle easily.
1 - Set the hull of the boat in the stand.
2 - Insert the mast into the large hole in the center of
the deck. The eye at the bottom of mast should face
aft (toward the rear of the ship).
3 - Place the brass pin at the end of the gaff spar into
the two brass eyes on the back of the mast.
4 - Place the brass pin at the end of the boom into the
brass eye at the bottom of the mast.
5 - Secure the boom in place by attaching the
brass hook to the traveler bar at the aft
end of the deck.
6 - Attach the two gaff lines
at the top of the mast to
the brass eyes on the
gaff spar.

7 - Attach the bowsprit to the front of the deck by
sliding it through the brackets. Attach the line at
the bottom of the bowsprit to the brass eye under
the bow.
8 - Attach the jib by inserting the top "S" hook of the
sail into the appropriate eye at the front of the mast.
The leading edge of the jib should attach to the
brass eye at the front of the bowsprit. The lines from
the back of the jib should attach to the second brass
eye on either side of deck.
9 - Finish the assembly by adding the shroud lines to
both sides of the mast, then attaching them to the
appropriate shroud eyes on both sides of the deck.
Tighten all four lines by running the fasteners up
the line.
