17. Before using the welding helmet, push the test bu�on and make sure the filter is powered
and func�ons properly, if this is not the case, replace the ba�ery.

3. Instructions for use

Check before use

1. Check if the protec�ve layer of the inner- and outer protec�ve plate is removed.
2. Check if the front plate is clean and free of dust, also check if both sensors on the front side
are clean. Now check the protec�ve plate on the inside of the helmet.
3. Check all opera�ng elements for damage or defects before use. Every damaged part has to
be replaced immediately, check for scratches, fractures and dents to prevent personal injury.
4. Push the test bu�on previous to each use to make sure the filter is powered.
5. Check if the filter switches from light to dark previous to each use.
Adjusting the shade
Select the correct shade according to the list (fig.2) and adjust the shade se�ng with the shade
adjus�ng bu�on (fig.1)on the inside of the helmet. Make sure you set the correct shade.

Adjusting the sensitivity

The sensi�vity can be adjusted with the Sensi�vity-bu�on (3, fig.3), the sensi�vity depends on the
welding current and environmental light. These are the recommended se�ngs:
1. Set to LOW when welding with a high amperage or in a light environment.
2. Set to HIGH when welding with a low amperage or in a dark environment. Set to HIGH for
low current ARC welding or welding with Argon.
3. The middle range is suited for most welding both indoors and outdoors.
