If the environment temperature is 100°F (38°C) and
assuming you want to keep 50% of your car's battery
capacity to remain when R5 Power cuts the output o ,
you should set the device to cut power output o at the
12.2V setting (i.e. above the 12.192 voltage from the
chart). For a regular 50Wh lead-acid battery, 50%
of battery consumption supports around 20 hours
of dash camera recording.
There are 4 protective band settings in R5 Power,
which you can switch according to your needs:
For 12V battery, the voltage cut-o settings are:
11.8V/12.0V/12.2V/12.4V
For 24V battery, the voltage cut-o settings are:
23.6V/24.0V/24.4V/24.8V
12.2V/24.4V band is recommended for most users
in typical working conditions.
