Loading
Drive the FW-D drum lifter up to the drum.

Apply the securing brake

Put the switch on the handle in the ASCENT-position

The gripper (1) can be lifted to the required height by pumping up and down with the foot pedal or

pumping the handle up and down.
Bring the gripper up to the same level as the upper drum rim. Make sure the drum is resting

against the gripper.
Close the gripper with the handwheel (2)

Steel ribbed drums: Now lift the drum about 200 mm. Place the hook (3) in such a way that it atta-

ches to the lower rim of the drum. To do so, you must press the lever (4) down and swivel it round
90º.
220 litre plastic L ring drum (Drum lifter FW-DX only): Set the spring lever (6) for the safety clamp

(5) to the diameter of the drum and tighten the lock screw. Now close the spring lever to ensure
the drum is securely held.
 Only use the hook (3) for steel ribbed drums.
 Set the spring lever (6) for the safety clamp (5) in such a way that the drum is firmly
enclosed.
 The drum lifter is equipped with a safety valve. If it is overloaded, the safety valve is
triggered and the load cannot be lifted.
Turning
Continue pumping until the drum has reached the required height.

Put the switch lever on the handle in the NEUTRAL position.

Using the crank, you can now turn the drum to the required position.

Moving
Drums must only be moved in a horizontal position and on even ground.

The load must only be slightly raised.

Put the switch lever on the handle in the NEUTRAL position

Release the securing brakes before transporting.

Lowering
Drums must only be lowered when in a horizontal position.

Put the switch lever on the handle in the LOWER position.

