CLEANING
CAUTION !
To reduce the risks associated with high pressure air which, if not avoided, could result in minor to
moderate injury:
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when using compressed air to clean the tool
and accessories.
1. Periodically blow out all air passages and area above Disk Pad and under shroud with dry
compressed air. All plastic parts should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. NEVER use solvents to
clean plastic parts.
2. Wear safety glasses while using compressed air.
CHANGING BACK-UP PAD
Loosen the screw (4) using the supplied wrench (Pic. 1). Remove the used back-up pad, place the new
back-up pad turning it slightly until is fixed to the right position (Pic. 2-3). Tighten the screw using the
wrench.
LUBRICATION
This tool has been lubricated with a sufficient amount of high-grade lubricant for the life of the unit under
normal operating conditions. No further lubrication is necessary.
ACCESSORIES DISASSEMBLY
WOOL AND FOAM PADS
Remove the existing pad used and apply the new one with pressing on the backing pad (8).
ALLOWED ACCESSORIES
21 mm Polisher: 7in/180 mm pads for back-up pad 6in/150 mm
15 mm Polisher: 6in/150 mm pads for back-up pad 5in/125 mm
DISPOSAL (WEEE DIRECTIVE)
For EU countries only: According to the European Directive on Waste from electrical and electronic
equipment and its implementation in conformity with national standards, exhausted electrical equipment
must be collected separately, in order to be recycled in an environmentally friendly way.
The product, when it reaches the end of its life, must not be dispersed in the environment or thrown away as
household waste. It must be disposed at authorized recycling centres (contact your local authorities to know
where to dispose of the product according to the law).
The correct disposal of the product contributes to the health and preservation of the environment. Illegal
disposal of the product will entail penalties against the offenders.
