Operation
>
mount the grain mill on the kitchen machine according to the description
>
set the desired degree of fineness
>
switch on the kitchen machine at low level
>
fill the desired amount of grain into the funnel (max. 0.5 kg)
- always grind the grain mill completely empty and store in dry rooms
If you want to fine-tune the mill while it is grinding, change the fineness only in small steps.
When the grain mill is empty, remove the mill from the machine.
To ensure that the nutrients in the flour are fully retained, we recommend that you process the flour
immediately.
Predetermined breaking point
In order to avoid a defect in your kitchen machine when the grain mill is
overloaded, the grinding shaft (2) has been provided with a predetermined
breaking point, which breaks when it is overloaded approx. three times.
This part can be replaced by loosening the grinding shaft from the broken
driver with a 13 mm open-end wrench and pliers, or if you are unable to carry
out the repair yourself, please contact us.
You can buy the driver from us.
Cleaning and maintenance
•
Always unplug the machine before cleaning and maintenance!
•
The Schnitzer grinding attachment is maintenance-free when used properly. The mill cleans itself through
the grinding process.
>
If the appliance is not in constant use, we recommend cleaning the grinding stones after use.
•
If the grinding mechanism becomes clogged due to excessively moist grinding material, the mill must
be emptied. Then grind some wheat, which has been dried in the oven at approx. 50 degrees for
10 - 15 min at coarse setting.
>
If you still have no success after this, remove the rotating stone by turning clockwise.
>
Now you can clean both stones with a hard brush (never wet or damp).
•
If the „0" setting can no longer be achieved during subsequent assembly, proceed as follows:
>
Pull off the adjustment knob
(5)
>
Replace the adjustment knob slightly and turn it to the left until it stops.
>
Lift the scale disc
(4)
from the rotating stone
of the scale firmly onto the grinding cone with the pointer of the setting knob in this position.
•
Clean plastic parts by hand only with warm water, they are not dishwasher safe.
•
The motor of the kitchen machine may only be wiped with a damp cloth, never immerse it in water
or clean it under running water.
