Do not use the unit if there is any damage in the coffee maker
body, power cord or power plug.
•
If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the
manufacturer, a maintenance service or similar qualified per-
sonnel to avoid danger.
•
Do not repair the unit by yourself. Do not disassemble the unit by
yourself, by any malfunction or after the unit has been dropped,
disconnect it from the electrical outlet and contact any autho-
rized (designated) service center at the contact addresses in
the warranty card and on the website www.rondell.ru.
•
Transport the unit in the original package only.
•
Keep the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and
disabled persons.
THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. ANY
COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE IN PRODUCTION AREAS AND
WORK SPACES IS PROHIBITED.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
After unit transportation or storage at low temperature
keep it for at least three hours at room temperature before
switching on.
– Take the coffee machine out of the packaging and remove the
packing materials.
– Check the unit for damages; do not use it in case of any.
– Make sure that the coffee machine operating voltage corre-
sponds to the mains voltage.
– Before using the coffee machine for the first time, wash all
removable parts (1, 7, 9, 11, 12, 15) with warm water and neu-
tral detergent and dry them.
OPERATION PREPARATION
Thoroughly study this guide before the first use.
– Check to make sure that the Brewing Unit (9), Used Coffee
Grounds Container (12), and Drip Tray (7) are properly installed.
– Fill the water tank (1) with clean water (pic. 5).
Attention! Do not fill the water tank (1) with hot or ice-cold water.
Ignoring this instruction may cause cracks to appear on the walls
of the tank body.
Notes: Wash the brewing system before the first use or after a
prolonged standby period (see the «Washing» section of this guide).
Adding coffee beans
Add the coffee beans into the coffee machine (pic. 3).
Notes: The container (2) is only intended for coffee beans, do not
add water, ground coffee, or coffee beans mixed with dense par-
ticles to avoid damaging the millstones of the coffee grinders. Do
not use frozen coffee beans to avoid damaging the coffee grinder.
Coffee Grinding Adjustment
Coffee Grinding can be adjusted during grinder operation.
Open the container lid (2). Turn the grinding degree control knob
(3) (pic. 3). Turn the Adjuster Knob (3) counter-clockwise for more
fine grind and a stronger taste, or clockwise for less fine grind
and a softer taste.
Notes: After adjusting the grinding, the adjustment will persist
from the third cup of coffee onwards.
Adding ground coffee
Add ground coffee into the coffee maker (pic. 4). Do not add more
than one spoonful of the supplied spoon of ground coffee. Excess
amount may clog up the coffee machine.
Attention! Do not use ground coffee when using the coffee
machine for the first time.
Drip Tray (7)
When the tray is fully filled, the Float Water Level Indicator (13)
rises, at which point the Drip Tray needs to be drained.
Brewing Unit (9)
Keep the Brewing Unit closed and do not move it during cof-
fee making. If the display shows that the brewing unit (9) is not
installed, please, remove it and then insert again as far as it goes
until clicking.
Used Coffee Grounds Container (12)
When the display shows that the container is full, please, empty
the container (12).
Water quality
Poor water quality can damage the unit. Please, observe the fol-
lowing security measures:
– Never pour active water into the water tank.
– The carbonate hardness must not exceed 5-6° dKH (German
carbonate hardness) or 8.9-10.7° fKH (French carbonate hard-
ness), and the total hardness must always be higher than the
carbonate hardness.
– Minimal carbonate hardness shall be 5° dKH or 8,9° fKH. pH
shall be 6,5 - 7.
Installing the milk pipe
Install the milk pipe (pic. 1).
Coffee spout height adjustment
Adjust the height of the coffee spout (6) to the cup, to avoid
splashing hot beverage during brewing by pulling the edge of the
spout downwards/upwards.
