Note on the sampling rate
converter
Three types of digital signals are usually
used in accordance with the sampling
frequencies. The sampling frequencies vary
depending on the types of digital equipment
as shown below.
48 kHz:
Standard mode of DAT, B mode
broadcasting of BS tuner, etc.
44.1 kHz:
Standard mode of DAT, CD, MD, etc.
32 kHz:
Standard and long-hour modes of DAT, A
mode broadcasting of BS tuner, etc.
In general, high-quality recording based on
digital signal transmission is available only
when the sampling frequency of the source
equipment matches that of the recorder
equipment. However, this unit incorporates
a sampling rate converter so that it can also
record digital signals sampled at 48 kHz and
32 kHz by converting their sampling
frequency into the sampling frequency of CD
(44.1 kHz). The SCMS may be activated with
certain type of satellite broadcasting.

Convertisseur de fréquence

Pour la numérisation des signaux, on utilise
3 fréquences d'échantillonnage. Cette
fréquence d'échantillonnage varie selon le
type de l'appareil :
48 kHz:
Mode standard DAT, radiodiffusion mode
B, avec tuner BS, etc.
44,1 kHz:
Mode standard DAT, CD, MD, etc.
32 kHz:
Modes standard et longue durée du DAT,
radiodiffusion mode A, avec tuner BS,
etc.
En général, pour les enregistrements de
haute qualité, basés sur la transmission du
signal
numérique,
la
d'échantillonnage doit être la même à la
source qu'à l'enregistreur. Cependant, cet
appareil CD comprend un convertisseur de
fréquences permettant de ramener les
signaux à 48 kHz et à 32 kHz à la fréquence
d'échantillonnage du standard CD (44,1 kHz).
À noter que certaines transmissions par
satellite peuvent activer le SCMS.
