7.3 Switching on the maremed

1. Ensure that you have installed the water filter and pre-filter and filled the tank with tap wa-
ter and the maremed
2. Insert the mains plug into the socket. Ensure that the cable does not pose a trip hazard.
The maremed ® is now ready for use.
3. To switch on the maremed

begin to light up.

air, ensuring that there is no bacterial contamination in the water.

For safety reasons, if you remove the cover from the maremed
the mains, both the fan and the UVC lamp will automatically switch off. Once you put the
cover back on again, the 3-minute sterilisation process will start again. The fan won't start
again until this has finished.
Note
A slight odour initially develops after switching on the device for the first time. This is nor-
mal and not harmful to your health. Allow the device to run for three to five minutes. After
that you can use the device as normal.

7.4 Selecting the fan speed

The maremed comes with a total of 3 fan speeds.

7.5 Timer function

The maremed comes with a timer function. You can use the timer function to set the

number of hours of operation after which the maremed
can set the timer to between 1 and 24 hours.
